Classic Rock Battle of the Bands Round 1
Welcome to Round 1 of the CLassic Rock Battle of the Bands. We are starting with 32 bands in the first round. The 16 winners of this round will advance to round two and match up against each other. Then these 8 winners will move on to round 3. Round 4 will match up those 4 winners and round 5 will feature the remaining 2 and crown an overall champion.
Vote for each band that you like best in each battle of Round One.

Classic Rock Rewind with Aerosmith

This weeks Classic Rock Rewind features the band “Aerosmith”. In 1973 they released their debut album titled “Aerosmith”. Their first hit from this album was a very good song called “Dream On”. There is a video below of this song.
In 1974 Aerosmith released their second album titled “Get Your Wings”. This was a good album with several very good songs on it. Two of my favorites from this album were “Lord Of The Thighs“ and “Train Kept A- Rollin“, which sounds a lot like one of “Foghat’s” songs called “Honey Hush”. Below are some audio clips of both “Lord Of The Thighs“ and “Train Kept A- Rollin”.
In 1975 they released their third, and one of their best albums ever, in “Toys In The Attic”. This entire album was rock and roll loaded. It featured one of their best songs called “Sweet Emotion“. Another hit from this album was called “Walk This Way”.
In 1976 they released their fourth album called “Rocks”. I thought this was one of their better albums. It featured several hits including “Last Child”, “Rats In The Cellar”, “Sick As A Dog”"Back In The Saddle”, and “Combination“. There is an audio clip of the song “Combination“ below.
“Aerosmith” released several more albums over the years and are still touring today. They can put on quite a show in concert. In my opinion, they would have to be considered one of the top ten Classic Rock bands of all time. Be sure and come back for next weeks featured band on MusicOverDrive’s Classic Rock Rewind!
